How can you get involved?

To create a transparent, decentralised and trustworthy system, we need the voice of the people. Over the coming months, we will be building a community over on Discord, in which we will be looking for active contributors to build products and grow the network. On top of this, validators can help uphold the integrity of the network and get rewarded for their work.

Why get involved?

The validation of the network is essential to ensuring the integrity of blockchain-native carbon. Beyond this, validators can expect to be reimbursed for their scrutiny; a percentage of tons if approved, and a percentage of the backing collateral if the tons are rejected.

Where to get involved

Project Application

Within the project application process, it is essential to scrutinise the project offering and understand what could be done to improve the proposal.

After submitting their project for approval, token holders can vote on projects to accept into the on-chain carbon pipeline.

Ton Approval

Validators are essential to assessing project tons and the underlying data.

Projects developers are responsible for submitting their IPFS link, calculated number of tons and collateral to the rollup. Validators can then run the same computation using a pre-configured Cartesi machine and confirm the results - if any discrepancies crop up, the computation can be submitted to the Rollup for dispute resolution. There are a number of grounds for disputing a claim

If the dispute is successful, the project developer's collateral is conceded and a proportion is given to the validator who submitted the successful claim.
